Equipment Sharing Programs
There are three equipment programs available, one for NCSU faculty and two for industrial users.
- Faculty - NNF Equipment Program
Under this program, NCSU faculty members can bring their processing equipment to the laboratory. The use of the equipment is shared by all facility users. The owner of the equipment does not pay any fees to the facility as long as the tool stays in the facility. The equipment is maintained by the facility. This program provides the faculty the opportunity to use their equipment without the fear of any future repair costs. To reach the agreement form, click here.
- Industry - NNF Equipment Program I
Under this program, industrial users can install their processing or characterization equipment in the laboratory. The installed equipment is shared by all users of the facility. The equipment is maintained by the owner and the owner pays the academic rate to use the equipment. Furthermore, the monthly fee can not exceed 75% of the fee charged under the Industry - NNF Equipment Program II explained below. The details of this program can be found in the current agreement, which can be obtained from the NNF-TNLC director.
- Industry - NNF Equipment Program II
Under this program, industrial users can install their processing or characterization equipment in the laboratory. The equipment is not shared and the owner pays a flat monthly fee determined by the area of the tool. The area includes an additional area around the tool and the width of this area is determined by the type of the tool. Users interested in this option are encouraged to contact the NNF-TNLC director.
